I am currently providing Project wide support for life cycle project planning, scheduling and forensic schedule analysis for the world’s 3rd largest 4800 MW coal fired  power plant at South African Govt owned utility company (ESKOM HOLDING) . Project estimated value of US $17 Billion . Achieving division objectives for scheduling , costs and resource productivity and General contractors relations.

 

Ø      Leading the schedule analysis for the Claims Mitigation and Resolution Process per assigned package(s) Resident Engineer’s   / Project Manager’s overall direction.  Coordinating and participating with Contract Managers of assigned packages, internal / external legal counsel and others as deemed appropriate by project management to manage all schedule analysis to develop an integrated response to Contractor claims.

 

Ø      Providing schedule analyses for contractor and Employer claims:

o Applying  industry-standard techniques and methods to analyze claims submitted by Contractors; Especially Window Analysis , Time impact analysis (TIA) and As Planned Impact Analysis

o Utilize P6 v 8.3.2, Schedule Analyzer ,Schedule Analyzer and Claim Digger as required to review and analyze Contractors’ schedules;

o Research delay claims background, sourcing and organizing data drawn from Employer and Contractors

 

Ø      Identify and capture available data that supports an analysis of the schedule portion of Employer’s claims.  Data may include such information as:

o Daily report

o Quality control information;

o Claim correspondence;

o Meeting minutes;

o Information as to the Contractor’s crew sizes, equipment and other information used as a baseline

 

 

 

 

Ø      Developing a fact based conclusion with respect to schedule claims and present said conclusion to the Commercial Team in the form of a report (reports, graphs, etc.) that is clear, organized and supported by credible documentation. All supporting documentation shall be appended to the reports.   Report shall be formatted in a manner that is presentable to an adjudicator and/or arbitrator.

 

Ø      Assisting in determining schedule information required to be submitted regularly by the Contractors as a matter of course to assist in claim analysis;

 

 

Ø      Tracking impacts to contractor’s schedule as they occur and quantify the compensable impacts from the non-compensable impacts;

 

Ø      Analyzing Contractor’s progress in relation to its contribution to concurrent delays along with other impacts;

 

 

Ø      Gathering information regarding contractors’ ability to minimize the effect of potential impacts; such as contractor’s ability to re-direct work to resolve an access issue;

 

Ø      Drafting correspondence to the Contractors to request missing information as required for claims analysis;

 

 

Ø      Participating in claims discussions in regularly scheduled meetings with Contractors as requested;
